In April 2004 our lives were forever changed when our son was diagnosed with Stage Four Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma - a particularly virulent and high-risk soft tissue tumor.  Most of the doctors we initially visited offered treatment with the standard chemotherapy regimen, which had an associated survival rate of no better than 25%.  Luckily for us, we were able to enroll in a groundbreaking clinical trial at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and our son is now two years post diagnosis and in remission.
